Rationale

MSLN (mesothelin) is a glycoprotein highly expressed on the surface of mesothelial cells lining serous cavities. KRT19 (cytokeratin 19) is an epithelial intermediate filament protein characteristic of mesothelial and epithelial lineages. BNC1 (basonuclin-1) marks mesothelial identity and distinguishes these cells from endothelial and stromal populations. Together, these markers reliably identify mesothelial cells in adipose tissue.
