This dataset provides high-resolution annotations and sub-clustering of Schwann cells from the human retinal pigment epithelium (RPE)/choroid complex—a tissue essential for the survival and function of the neural retina. By analyzing 21,625 nuclei across 53 donors, we resolved five choroidal Schwann cell types/states.
